FK Bodø/Glimt

FK Bodø/Glimt is a Norwegian professional football club from Bodø in Northern Norway that currently plays in Eliteserien, the Norwegian top division. The club’s nickname is Glimt, and was founded in 1916. Glimt is the reigning league champions in Norway after winning Eliteserien in 2020 and 2021. They have also won the Northern Norwegian Cup nine times, when the Norwegian league system was divided into North and South. This system was abolished in 1969, a year in which Glimt won the Northern Norwegian Cup. They have won the Norwegian Cup twice, in 1975 and 1993.

Glimt launched a sustainability programme called Action Now in 2018. The entire club is concerned with upholding the UN Sustainable Development Goals in its daily operations and communication activities. All departments in Glimt are involved in taking Action Now, through both large and small deeds that lead us towards a sustainable future. They are currently planning to build a new arena, which will take arena building into a sustainable age.
